The Confusion of
Christians (Part III) They have to recognize that the insurrection against God that started centuries ago is picking up speed. It is meant to destroy the power of God and establish the rule of almighty man. The battle is for power, and morality is the battle ground. The insurrection against God means the organized abandonment of His moral order and replacing it with a global social and political infrastructure contrary to His Commandments yet capable of integrating toothless Christian religion. This is possible because comfortable Christians have reduced the Christian revolution meant to transform the world to a meek message of personal salvation. As a consequence, we are leaving absolute moral standards behind. The movement to godlessness is in full swing but most “Christians” do not understand what is happening and neither do the politicians. The mentality of irrelevance was best expressed by a statement of all protestant bishops—except one—in East Germany to the Communist government. It defined the Christian task as “demonstrating how to live as Christians in a Socialist society.” Utterly ridiculous! They should have stood up as a body and attacked the lies of the atheist rulers of their flock. But instead they did the same thing church leaders did in Nazi Germany during the persecution of the Jews: they kept their silence. They might have followed the path of Jesus, Peter, Paul, and thousands of others. Thomas Merton pointed out that a person “who has meditated on the Passion of Christ but has not meditated on the extermination camps of Dachau and Auschwitz has not yet fully entered into the experience of Christianity in our time.” Richard J. Foster comments that this kind of meditation is best accomplished with the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other. I know the reality that personal and national sins cannot be separated because I lived it and it is not a personal view. The multicultural concept is the consequence of the wrongful separation of God and society. It ignores the reality of human nature and nationhood, tramples on the traditions which are different in every country as well as on national purpose and character, and leads to the destruction of Western civilization. It explains why George W. Bush ignores the wishes of the majority of the American people with regards to the issue of illegal aliens and the formation of the North American Union Collective. He has experienced a Christian rebirth but his Christian concepts and consequently his policies remain insufficient. But he can change like everybody else, and change he must. And if he does he will find that moral change in people is the only viable alternative to organizing people and nations into a godless government structures against the will of his voters. WE THE PEOPLE WANT: —A president, whose family life is an example for everybody. —A person who is connected with the American history and advances the nation’s mission. —Somebody who doesn’t lie and knows how to define freedom as moral criteria and not just as an economic and political necessity. —Who is committed to truth as a person and as a responsible leader of the United States defends it in our laws and social infrastructure. —Somebody who opens the doors of our schools and government institutions to God. —Who fights to end the shedding of children’s blood in the name of the “Right to Choose.” —A man or a woman who makes God central again in our national affairs and defends our sovereignty. —And a man who insists upon education in our schools that teaches the courage of our founding fathers and makes our Constitution central.
